Bridal Beauty Secrets

There will be more pictures taken of you on your wedding day than any other day of your life (no pressure!). But what if your beauty routine is, well, a bit lackluster? No worries; we’ve got all the bridal beauty tips you need to look your best on your wedding day.

First, keep in mind that how you look on your wedding day begins well before that morning. Start a beauty regime as early as possible. Thinking about trying out a new hair color or cut? Try to make any major changes at least five months before the big day. Otherwise, if you want an elaborate updo for your wedding, most experts recommend letting your hair grow with regular trims every six weeks or so. Five to six months before your wedding is also a great time to start a regular skincare routine to help guarantee smooth, clear skin later down the road. If you want to lose weight for your wedding, now is the time to make a plan. Three to four months before your wedding, it is time to book consultations with your wedding hairstylist and makeup artists. This is your chance to do a trial-run of your wedding day look — we recommend having your appointment earlier in the day so you can see how long the look will last. Take plenty of pictures so you can see how your look transfers to film and so your wedding makeup artist or hairstylist can re-create the look later. Avoid drastically changing your hair length or color, getting a facial, waxing, or introducing any new products to your system less than a week or two before your wedding. You want to give your body time to adjust to any changes and give yourself time to correct any mistakes or heal from any bad reactions.
